Mahamadou Sana is a Burkinabe statesman and police commissioner currently serving as the Minister of Security of Burkina Faso. Born in Bouaké, Côte d'Ivoire, he holds a master's degree in economics and a diploma in international relations. Before his appointment to the cabinet in 2022, he had a distinguished career in the national police, serving in various intelligence and security leadership roles, including as Deputy Director General of the National Intelligence Agency. Since August 2024, he has held the full portfolio of the Ministry of Security, where he focuses on counter-terrorism efforts and national stability.
