César Verástegui Ostos

César Augusto Verástegui Ostos is a Mexican politician currently serving as a plurinominal deputy in the Chamber of Deputies for the 66th Congress. A long-time member of the National Action Party (PAN), he previously served as the Secretary of Government for the state of Tamaulipas from 2016 to 2022 and held the office of municipal president of Xicoténcatl for two separate terms. In 2022, he was the gubernatorial candidate for the 'Va por Tamaulipas' coalition. Before his political career, he worked in the agricultural sector, specifically in sugarcane cultivation.
