Carl Albrecht

Carl Albrecht is an American politician who has served as a member of the Utah House of Representatives for the 70th district since 2017. Before his legislative career, he spent 40 years at Garkane Energy Cooperative, including 22 years as chief operating officer, and served on the Sevier School District Board of Education and the Richfield City Council. A proponent of the Second Amendment, Albrecht has focused his legislative efforts on rural economic development, including sponsoring grants for rural job creation. In 2019, he was recognized as Legislator of the Year by the Salt Lake Chamber.
