Carole Delga

Carole Delga is a French politician who has served as the President of the Regional Council of Occitania since 2016. A member of the Socialist Party, she previously served as a member of the National Assembly for Haute-Garonne from 2012 to 2017 and held the position of Secretary of State for Trade, Crafts, Consumer and Social Economy and Solidarity in the government of Manuel Valls. Known for her focus on regional development and territorial cohesion, she also served as the president of the association Régions de France starting in 2021. Within her party, she is recognized for her moderate stance and her opposition to the NUPES alliance, often advocating for a distinct path for the French left.
