Patrick Jarry is a French politician who has served as a departmental councilor for the Hauts-de-Seine department since 2008. An engineer by training and graduate of the École des Ponts et Chaussées, he was a long-serving mayor of Nanterre from 2004 to 2023. Throughout his career, he has been associated with the French Communist Party and various local citizen-left movements. Jarry has been deeply involved in urban planning and social policy, notably chairing the public development establishment EPADESA and the Paris Métropole syndicate. He is a recipient of the Legion of Honour, awarded for his actions during the 2002 Nanterre shooting.
