Catherine Fournier is a Canadian politician currently serving as the Mayor of Longueuil, a position she has held since 2021. Before her mayoral tenure, she served as a member of the National Assembly of Quebec for the district of Marie-Victorin, where she was elected in 2016 as the youngest woman in the assembly's history. Originally a member of the Parti Québécois, she later sat as an independent. Fournier is a graduate of the Université de Montréal and has been a vocal advocate for victims of sexual assault, having publicly shared her own experience to support legislative and social change.
