Catherine McKinnell

Catherine McKinnell is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Newcastle upon Tyne North since 2010. Before entering politics, she worked as an employment solicitor. Throughout her parliamentary career, she has held various shadow ministerial roles, including Shadow Solicitor General and Shadow Attorney General. Most recently, she served as the Minister of State for School Standards from 2024 to 2025. She is known for her advocacy on issues such as adoption reform, international tax laws, and the Women Against State Pension Inequality campaign.
