A member of the Republican Party, she previously served as the Speaker of the Alaska House of Representatives from 2023 to 2025. Before her appointment to the Senate in November 2025, she represented District 26 and District 12 in the Alaska House. Outside of her legislative career, Tilton is a self-employed real estate professional and a former legislative aide who resides in Wasilla, Alaska.
