Cecil Clarke is a Canadian politician currently serving as the Mayor of the Cape Breton Regional Municipality, a position he assumed in 2024 after previously holding the office from 2012 to 2020. A member of the Progressive Conservative Party, he previously represented the riding of Cape Breton North in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 2001 to 2011, where he served in the Executive Council as Minister of Economic Development, Minister of Energy, and Attorney General. Clarke has also served as the Speaker of the House of Assembly of Nova Scotia and has been an active participant in both provincial and federal politics throughout his career.
