Dean Murdock

Dean Murdock is a Canadian politician who has served as the mayor of Saanich, British Columbia, since 2022. Before his election as mayor, he served as a municipal councillor for several terms, focusing on housing affordability, transportation infrastructure, and environmental protection. Murdock holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from the University of Victoria and previously worked as a political science instructor at Camosun College and for the British Columbia provincial government. He has advocated for sustainable urban development, walkable neighborhoods, and climate change mitigation throughout his career in public service.
