Chak Au is a Canadian politician serving as the Member of Parliament for Richmond Centre—Marpole, having been elected in the 2025 federal election. Before entering federal politics, he served as a Richmond City Councillor from 2011 to 2026 and as a school trustee for the Richmond School District starting in 1999. A family therapist by profession, Au immigrated to Canada from Hong Kong in 1988. Throughout his career, he has been known for his active involvement in municipal governance and his vocal stance on local public health policy, including his opposition to safe consumption sites in Richmond.
