Chan Chun Sing is a Singaporean politician and former military officer who currently serves as the Minister for Defence and Coordinating Minister for Public Services. A member of the People's Action Party, he has represented the Buona Vista division of the Tanjong Pagar Group Representation Constituency as a Member of Parliament since 2011. Before entering politics, he had a distinguished career in the Singapore Armed Forces, attaining the rank of Major-General and serving as Chief of Army. Throughout his political career, he has held various cabinet positions, including Minister for Education, Minister for Trade and Industry, and Minister for Social and Family Development.
