Chang San-cheng, also known as Simon Chang, is a Taiwanese politician, civil engineer, and academic currently serving as the Mayor of Taoyuan City since 2022. Before his election as mayor, he held several high-level government positions, including serving as the Premier of the Republic of China in 2016 and as Vice Premier starting in 2014. A former nonpartisan figure who later joined the Kuomintang, Chang has an extensive background in technology and academia, having worked for Acer Inc. and Google, and served as a professor at National Taiwan University. He also ran as the Kuomintang's vice presidential candidate in the 2020 Taiwanese presidential election.
