Charles Sousa is a Canadian politician currently serving as the Member of Parliament for Mississauga—Lakeshore, having first been elected in a 2022 by-election and subsequently re-elected in 2025. He also serves as the chair of the House of Commons Standing Committee on National Defence. Before entering federal politics, Sousa had a significant career in provincial government, serving as the Ontario Minister of Finance from 2013 to 2018 and holding various cabinet roles including Minister of Labour and Minister of Citizenship and Immigration. Prior to his political career, he worked for over two decades at the Royal Bank of Canada and operated his own factoring company.
