Chen Junne-jih

Chen Junne-jih is a Taiwanese agronomist and politician currently serving as the Minister of Agriculture of Taiwan. Born in 1958, he holds a Ph.D. in agronomy from National Chung Hsing University. Chen spent much of his career as a researcher and administrator within the Council of Agriculture, eventually rising to the position of political deputy minister. Following the transition to the Ministry of Agriculture in 2023, he served as acting minister and was formally appointed to the cabinet in 2024, where he gained recognition for his management of agricultural policy controversies.
