Chris Hegel is a German politician and member of the Landtag of Baden-Württemberg, representing the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party since 2026. Born in 2000 in Ostfildern, he grew up in Ellwangen and Aalen. Before entering state politics, he served as a police officer, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. In addition to his state-level mandate, Hegel has served as a member of the Aalen municipal council and the Ostalbkreis district council, where he became the chair of the AfD parliamentary group in 2025.
