Christian Lausch

Christian Lausch is an Austrian politician and civil servant who has served as a member of the Austrian National Council since 2008. Born in Hollabrunn, he began his professional career as a retail clerk before joining the prison service in 1989, where he attained the rank of district inspector at the Josefstadt correctional facility. A long-standing member of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ), Lausch has held various leadership roles within the party at the district and state levels in Lower Austria. In addition to his parliamentary duties, he has served as a municipal councilor in Hollabrunn since 2005 and remains active in representing the interests of prison staff through his work with the service committee at the Josefstadt prison.
