Before entering politics, he worked extensively in human resources and organizational development for various industrial and technology companies, including a tenure as the head of the personnel department for the city of Kempten from 2018 to 2021. He holds a bachelor's degree in International Management and a master's degree in Human Resources from the FOM University of Applied Sciences. Schoch was elected in a runoff vote in March 2026 as a candidate for the Free Voters party.
