Christine van Basten-Boddin

Christine van Basten-Boddin is a Dutch politician and jurist who has served as the Mayor of Beek since February 2016. Born in Aachen, Germany, she spent her formative years in the Netherlands and the United States. Before entering politics, she held various roles in the events industry and served as the director of the Institute for Corporate Law, Governance & Innovation Policies at Maastricht University. A member of the Democrats 66 (D66) party, she previously served as a council member in Valkenburg aan de Geul before assuming her current mayoral office.
