Chrysa Arapoglou

Chrysa Arapoglou is a Greek politician currently serving as the Mayor of Kalamaria, having been elected in 2023 as the first woman to hold the position. A biologist by training with a master's degree in bioethics, she has a long career in public service, including serving as a Member of the Hellenic Parliament for Thessaloniki A from 2000 to 2012 and as a regional councilor. Before entering politics, she worked extensively as a journalist and documentary producer for various media outlets, including ERT3. Her political platform focuses on urban regeneration, environmental sustainability, and transparent local governance.
