Chuck Kopp is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Alaska House of Representatives. Born in Anchorage and raised in Iliamna, Alaska, he spent 20 years as a police officer, including a tenure as the Chief of Police in Kenai. Before his election to the state legislature in 2016, he served as an advisor to Governors Sarah Palin and Frank Murkowski and worked as a chief of staff for members of the Alaska Senate. A member of the Republican Party, Kopp has been involved in bipartisan legislative coalitions and frequently contributes opinion columns on public policy and resource management to Alaskan newspapers.
