Born in Slater, Missouri, she graduated from the University of Missouri–Columbia with degrees in journalism and political science. Before her legislative career, she worked in management at Sprint and as a substitute teacher. Holscher previously served in the Kansas House of Representatives from 2017 to 2020. She is a candidate in the 2026 Kansas gubernatorial election.
