Ciro Alejandro Ramírez

Ciro Alejandro Ramírez Cortés is a Colombian politician, businessman, and lawyer who served as a Senator of Colombia and previously as a Member of the Chamber of Representatives for Boyacá. A founding member of the Democratic Center party, he was a vocal opponent of the Santos administration and regional governors. In March 2026, he was convicted by the Supreme Court of Justice to 23 years in prison for his involvement in a major public corruption scheme known as 'Las Marionetas'.
