Clare Haughey

Clare Haughey is a Scottish politician serving as a Member of the Scottish Parliament for Rutherglen and Cambuslang. Before entering politics, she worked as a mental health nurse and clinical nurse manager. Since her election in 2016, she has held several government roles, including Minister for Mental Health from 2018 to 2021 and Minister for Children and Young People from 2021 to 2023. In 2023, she was appointed as the Convenor of the Health, Social Care and Sport Committee, continuing her focus on public health and social policy.
