Clea Hadjistephanou Papaellina

Clea Hadjistephanou Papaellina is a Cypriot public official and politician serving as the Deputy Minister of Social Welfare of the Republic of Cyprus. Born in Nicosia in 1967 with roots in Karavas, she studied Physical Education at the University of California, Berkeley, and built an extensive academic and professional career in sports administration, education, and public service. Prior to her appointment to the cabinet, she worked as a permanent member of the Special Teaching Staff at the University of Cyprus and chaired the Cyprus Sports Organisation, later assuming ministerial responsibilities focusing on anti-poverty strategies, child welfare, and European social policies.
