Cody Vasut is an American politician and attorney serving as a member of the Texas House of Representatives for the 25th District since 2021. A member of the Republican Party and the Texas Freedom Caucus, he is recognized as one of the most conservative legislators in the state. Prior to his election to the state house, Vasut served as a councilmember for the city of Angleton and worked as an associate attorney at BakerHostetler. Throughout his legislative career, he has focused on conservative policy initiatives, including school choice, anti-abortion measures, and fiscal oversight, and notably served as an impeachment manager during the 2023 trial of Attorney General Ken Paxton.
