Crystal Peoples-Stokes is an American politician currently serving as a member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 141 in Buffalo. Since 2018, she has served as the Assembly Majority Leader, becoming the first woman and the first African American to hold this leadership position. Prior to her tenure in the state legislature, she served as a member of the Erie County Legislature from 1993 to 2002.
