Mark Koran is an American politician serving as a member of the Minnesota Senate, representing District 28. Born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, in 1964, he was raised in the city's Frogtown neighborhood and graduated from Como High School. Before his legislative career, Koran worked as a manager for the Minnesota Department of Revenue and served as a sales manager. He also held a position on the Lent Township Planning Commission. First elected to the Minnesota Senate in 2016, he has since been reelected in 2020 and 2022. He currently resides in North Branch with his wife, Cindy, and their three children.
