Curtis Tarver

Curtis Tarver II is an American politician and attorney serving as a member of the Illinois House of Representatives for the 25th district. First elected in 2018, he represents a Chicago-based district that includes neighborhoods such as Hyde Park, Woodlawn, and South Shore. In addition to his legislative duties, he serves as the sergeant-at-arms for the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus and holds leadership roles on several committees, including the Civil Procedure & Tort Liability Subcommittee and the Counties & Townships Committee. Before his political career, Tarver earned a B.S. from Iowa State University and a J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law.
