Cynthia Lummis is an American politician and attorney serving as the junior United States Senator from Wyoming since 2021. She previously served as the U.S. Representative for Wyoming's at-large congressional district from 2009 to 2017, as well as Wyoming State Treasurer, and in both chambers of the Wyoming State Legislature. A member of the Republican Party, Lummis is known for her advocacy of cryptocurrency and her conservative policy positions. She was the first woman to represent Wyoming in the U.S. Senate.
