Daiga Mieriņa is a Latvian politician who has served as the 13th Speaker of the Saeima since September 2023. A member of the Union of Greens and Farmers, she previously held significant roles in local government, including serving as the mayor of Carnikava Municipality from 2009 to 2021. Before her election to the national parliament in 2022, she worked in various administrative and audit capacities within the Ministry of Transport and the State Revenue Service. Mieriņa holds degrees in horticulture and total quality management.
