Damir Krstičević is a Croatian politician and retired general who served as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence from 2016 to 2020. A veteran of the Croatian War of Independence, he commanded the 4th Guards Brigade before transitioning into the private sector as a corporate executive. In 2020, he resigned from his ministerial post following a fatal military aircraft accident. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his military service, including induction into the U.S. Army War College Hall of Fame, while also facing scrutiny regarding his wartime conduct and political associations.
