Daniel Liebetruth

Daniel Liebetruth is a German politician and educator who has served as the Lord Mayor of the city of Germering since May 1, 2026. Born in 1989 in Germering, he pursued a career in education, studying mathematics, Latin, and philosophy at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich before later specializing in computer science at the Technical University of Munich. Prior to his election, he worked as a teacher at the Gymnasium Fürstenried and the Max-Born Gymnasium in Germering. He secured his current office after winning a runoff election in March 2026 as a member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD).
