Daniel McCay is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Utah State Senate, representing District 18. Previously, he served in the Utah House of Representatives from 2013 to 2018. A member of the Republican Party, McCay has been a prominent sponsor of conservative legislation, including bills related to abortion restrictions, transgender participation in sports, and public facility access. In 2024, he also sponsored legislation aimed at funding a new NHL stadium in Salt Lake City. He is an attorney and real estate portfolio manager by profession.
