Daniel Zeichner

Daniel Zeichner is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Cambridge since 2015. Born in 1956, he previously worked as an IT professional and for the public sector trade union UNISON before entering national politics. Zeichner has held various frontbench roles, including serving as the Minister of State for Food Security and Rural Affairs from 2024 to 2025. A self-described modern socialist and passionate pro-European, he has been a long-standing member of Labour's National Policy Forum and has consistently advocated for public transport and environmental sustainability throughout his parliamentary career.
