Daniela Sommer is a German politician and member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD). Since 2013, she has served as a member of the Landtag of Hesse, and in 2024, she was elected as a Vice President of the state parliament. Before entering politics, she worked as a pedagogical staff member for the German Red Cross and as a project coordinator for family policy in Frankenberg. She holds a doctorate in economics and social sciences from the University of Kassel. Beyond her political career, she is an accomplished Savate boxer and a seven-time German champion.
