Danny Earl Britt Jr. is an American politician serving as a member of the North Carolina Senate, representing the 24th district since 2017. A member of the Republican Party, he holds the distinction of being the first Republican elected to his seat since the Reconstruction Era. In addition to his legislative duties, Britt serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the North Carolina Army National Guard. Throughout his tenure, he has held significant leadership roles, including chairing committees on Judiciary, Commerce and Insurance, and Appropriations for Justice and Public Safety.
