Danny Chambers is a British Liberal Democrat politician and veterinary surgeon who has served as the Member of Parliament for Winchester since 2024. Before entering politics, he had a distinguished career in veterinary medicine, including serving on the council of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and founding the charity Veterinary Voices UK. As an MP, he serves as the Liberal Democrat spokesperson for mental health and successfully introduced the Animal Welfare (Import of Dogs, Cats and Ferrets) Act, which became law in 2025 to regulate pet imports and improve animal welfare standards.
