Julia Buckley is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Shrewsbury since 2024, becoming the first woman and the first Labour MP to represent the constituency. Prior to her parliamentary career, she worked as a policy advisor in the European Parliament and as an EU funding specialist for local government, including Wolverhampton City Council. She also served as a councillor on Shropshire Council and Bridgnorth Town Council, where she led the Shropshire Labour Group. Buckley is a member of the Environmental Audit Select Committee and chairs the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Local Markets.
