Daouda Ngom

Daouda Ngom is a Senegalese academic and politician currently serving as the Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. Before his appointment to the government, he was a distinguished professor and researcher at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, where he specialized in agroforestry and ecology and led the Laboratory of Ecology and Ecohydrology. He previously served as the Minister of the Environment and Ecological Transition in the first Sonko government, beginning in April 2024, before transitioning to his current ministerial role in September 2025.
