Darius Jakavičius is a Lithuanian politician, educator, and Member of the Seimas. Born in Šakiai, he graduated from the Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences in 1998 with qualifications in history, political science, and social sciences. Prior to his election to parliament, he worked extensively as a teacher and served as the deputy mayor of the Šakiai District Municipality from 2019 to 2024. In November 2024, he assumed office as a member of the Committee on Education, Science and Culture in the Seimas.
