Dave Cortese

Dave Cortese is an American politician currently serving as a member of the California State Senate, representing District 15, which covers a significant portion of Santa Clara County. Before his election to the State Senate, he held various local government positions, including serving on the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors for 12 years and as a Councilmember and Vice Mayor for the City of San Jose. His career also includes experience as a trustee for the East Side Union High School District and leadership roles in several regional transportation and policy organizations. Cortese holds a bachelor's degree from UC Davis and a law degree from Lincoln Law School, and he has maintained a diverse professional background in ranching, real estate, and private legal practice.
