David Alton

David Alton, Baron Alton of Liverpool, is a British politician and life peer who has served as a crossbench member of the House of Lords since 1997. Previously, he served as a Liberal Party and later Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament for Liverpool Edge Hill and Mossley Hill from 1979 to 1997.
