David Cannon is an American politician currently serving as a Republican member of the West Virginia House of Delegates for the 89th district. He was appointed to the position by Governor Jim Justice on January 13, 2025, to fill the vacancy created by the appointment of Darren Thorne to the West Virginia Senate. Prior to his service in the House of Delegates, Cannon served as a Hampshire County Commissioner, a role he held until his resignation in February 2025.
