David Clarinval is a Belgian politician who serves as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labour, Economy and Agriculture in the De Wever government. Born in Dinant, he studied political science at the Université catholique de Louvain before beginning his political career. He gained national attention in 2000 when he was elected mayor of Bièvre at age 24, becoming the youngest mayor in Belgium at the time. A member of the Reformist Movement, he has served in the Chamber of Representatives since 2007 and has held various ministerial portfolios, including Budget, Public Service, and Agriculture, since 2019.
