David Cook

David Cook is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Texas House of Representatives for the 96th district. First elected in 2020 and assuming office in 2021, Cook previously served as the mayor of Mansfield, Texas, for twelve years. A graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University and Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, he has a background in legal practice. During his legislative tenure, he has focused on criminal jurisprudence and child support reform, and he notably voted for the impeachment of Ken Paxton.
