David Maxwell

David Maxwell is an Irish politician serving as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Cavan–Monaghan constituency, having been elected in the 2024 general election. Before his election to the Dáil, he served as a member of the Monaghan County Council from 2004 to 2024. Maxwell, who has a background as an undertaker, grew up in County Antrim during the Troubles and identifies as coming from a Protestant background. He is married with two children and currently resides in Monaghan.
