David P. Givens

David P. Givens is an American politician serving as a member of the Kentucky Senate, representing the 9th district since 2009. A member of the Republican Party, he has held significant leadership roles within the chamber, including serving as the President pro tempore of the Kentucky Senate during the 2019, 2020, and 2021 legislative sessions. Givens is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, where he earned both a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and a Master of Arts degree. Throughout his tenure, he has focused on legislative priorities within the Kentucky General Assembly.
