David Rader

David Rader is an American politician and former college football coach currently serving as a member of the Oklahoma State Senate, representing the 39th District since 2017. Before entering politics, he had a distinguished career in athletics, notably serving as the head football coach at the University of Tulsa from 1988 to 1999 and holding various coaching positions at the University of Alabama and the University of Mississippi. In the state senate, Rader has held leadership roles including chair of the Senate Republican Caucus and vice chair of the Appropriations Committee. He is also an author, having published a book on coaching fundamentals in 2011.
