Davide Galimberti

Davide Galimberti is an Italian politician currently serving as the Mayor of Varese. A member of the Democratic Party, he made history in 2016 by becoming the first center-left mayor of the city since 1992, ending decades of dominance by the Lega Nord. Before entering politics, he pursued an academic career, earning a doctorate in administrative law and serving as a professor of administrative justice. He was re-elected for a second term in 2021, continuing his focus on local administration and civic development.
